Day 30—Tatlayoko Lake to Kamloops BC

We started off in Tatlayoko with pleasant good byes and a light sprinkle of rain. Coming out of the valley was easier with the flooded section closed. It kept raining and I was soon riding a mud puddle. That is the gravel road was wet enough that the back tire would slide back and forth as we slowy made our was out of the valley. We made it to Williams Lake without much diffulity and hung a righty down HWY 97, cruised until HWY 24 and hung a lefty. The weather is seemed had decided that our trip was going to easy and it began to pour. The road was all rain and on some winding downward corners it seemed algae was growing all the way across the road.

We stopped at a nice little place for lunch (the name escaping me right now) and warmed up. We headed in to Kamloops after and found Lauren's family's house. There we had a great Indian meal and good company.

We had a bit of a rainy ride, but travelled along HWY 24, which I don’t remember ever going down. It was beautiful. We were lucky to be able to stay at Brianne and Andrew’s place as we were ready to be off the bike after about 600 km. It was also lucky that Aunt Glennis and Uncle Phil were there so we could visit with everyone! Will is such a charmer and super cute. It is too bad that we live so far apart.

  1. I can't believe it has been 30 days. Does it feel like that to you?
