Day 31—Kamloops to Salmon Arm, BC

Today we didn’t travel many kilometres, but saw some of the beautiful Okanagan. We had a leisurely morning with homemade muffins and sending the men off to work (except Devin of course!) Then Devin and I headed down to Vernon to see a friend of his for lunch. That road through Falkland was great, especially since this time I felt no motion sickness! After lunch, we headed up to Salmon Arm to see Cara. She was working that evening, so we just hung out in the afternoon, ate cheese and roasted garlic and made dinner. Devin and I then relaxed in the hot tub on the deck, which was great for our sore muscles. Out of B.C. tomorrow!

We headed off to Vernon to meet up with Alisha. It was great to catch up and have lunch. It would have been nice to hang out longer, but we just didn’t have the time. The roads were in good condition and the traveling was nice in the sunshine.

Heading up to Salmon arm we found Cara’s house fairly easily, with Laurens direction of course. After a quick grocery shop we ate cheese and relaxed. The dogs started barking and my Grandmother arrived! Gam and Andy had drove all this way to come and visit! After a few snap shots, Gam, Andy and I headed to an A&W for a quick visit. What a nice treat. They dropped me off and headed back to Kelowna and I worried a little about their return journey. After a few beers and a nice soak in the hot tub I was ready for bed and another day of traveling.

In BC we visited as many family and friends as possible even with our tight schedule.
